If you didn’t know the Renaissance group is part of a chain of Marriot hotels which offer really stylish interiors in the most beautiful cities in the world. I have to say after staying in two of these I can say this is 100% true.
On arrival we were actually upgraded to a better room with the most amazing city views. Everything about this hotel is sleek and minimal, the bedrooms are cool and airy which contrasts the hustle and bustle of the city streets.
The rooms themselves were all open plan with sliding mirrored doors to create a sense of privacy in the bathroom and shower area. There was plenty of space in our room for us to relax without getting under each others feet, which can be a problem in some city hotels.
Another feature of this hotel that has to be my favorite was the amazing roof top pool. The sun loungers were more like large leather beds which made it a lot more relaxing. There was music played all day and a pool bar which served drinks/coffees and bar snacks (and the most beautiful gin and tonics). On a night the pool closed but the area remained open using it as a roof top bar with a DJ on a weekend. The views over the city on a night were to die for giving it such a chilled out atmosphere.
The hotel itself is out of the centre but it was only a 10 minute metro ride and the station was located literally outside of the hotel doors so it wasn’t an inconvenience at all.
I enjoyed every part of my stay at this hotel, the staff were lovely, the breakfast was beautifully done with an amazing variety of food to choose from and the overall experience was luxurious.
I would really recommend staying here if you are planning on a trip to the city any time soon!
