Lola Jeans Summer Menu Launch 2016

I was lucky enough to be invited to one of my favourite bars in Newcastle's new Summer menu launch last week!

Last week I headed in to town with my friend Emily to the launch of the new Lola Jeans menu, which was also accompanied with their new 'Clean' menu for those who are careful with that they eat.
I really love Lola Jeans in general, they make some gorgeous cocktails, I had only been for food here once previously so was excited to try out what they had to offer in this launch.
We were escorted in to their basement which I didn't know existed, but there is a bar and plenty of quirky seats much like the upstairs. The first drink that came was the Lady Eleanor which was made of Pink Lady Apples, Raspberries, Prosecco and Cinnamon and it was lovely!
The next was a try of the Surf and Turf which was steak and king prawns with steak sauce, this was cooked to perfection, the steak was tender and the sauce was creamy and rich.
We then had one of two burger samples, the first being the Chicken Parmagina this was a chicken burger with mozzarella and passata. This was followed by a lovely fresh gin cocktail.

My favourite dish of the night was the James P Sullivan burger which contained MONSTER MUNCH - pickled onion flavour and tonnes of shredded deep fried onions, topped with a tasty steak sauce which is really rich. This was all inside a brioche bun and it tasted Amaaaaazing.

We sampled various other bits and bobs off the menu along with their delightful cocktails and I will definitely be back there to try out more.

I had a fabulous time celebrating with Lola Jeans and I would very much recommend popping in their if you are near Grey Street, they also have another one in Tynemouth!

Thank you for the invite
