Layers on Layers

I think layering is so important in the winter times, and it can make everything look super cute!

Due to the recent poor weather and lighting here in the UK, I've been really struggling to take photos for posts. Instead I thought I'd just talk about a few bits and bobs that I have been loving recently and layering is one of them. It seems so simple, but it really can keep you nice and cosy which is everything I want to achieve in the winter.

I think that a simple long sleeve top such as the one pictured above can be really cute and fashionable paired with jeans, or even over a little dress. I can be found rocking these pretty much every day.

I've been hunting round the internet to find the PERFECT pieces that fit my style, and are a bit better quality than my 3/4 year old tatty ones that I keep re-wearing.
I love the look of layering a few different tops over each other - it's comfy and its warm.
My mum used to drill it in to me that comfort wins over anything and as I am getting older, I realise that of course she was right.

I love this top from Espirit, both tops above are from their website and it is full of great long sleeve tops which are perfect for the winter. Find them HERE

I also think you can find some great long sleeved tops on the high street in pretty much every shop or you can splash out and get the likes of cashmere tops. I want to build up my collection by gathering different timeless colours that I can come back to each year. This is in a bid to almost create a capsule wardrobe and stop my spending habits (I know this won't happen) !!

I know they seem like such a boring purchase but they really can be styled with everything, skirts, tops, jeans...you name it.

Where is your favourite place to get them winter basics purchased?
